The work purpose is to develop parameters of hardening cooling and to create the hardening device for hardening of pipes of petroleum assortment. Methods of research and equipment are theoretical and experimental researches, the experimental stand for test of atomizers. Results and their novelty are the laboratory sample of a spray (atomizer) of the cooling environment for hardening of pipes made from steels of martensite class. The basic technical characteristics are a range of pressure of water and air in a spray - 2-10 аtm, speed of cooling by a water-air mix is in a range from 100-250 0S/with to 25 0 С/с. Degree of putting into practice engineering specifications for manufacturing of an atomizer of the corrected design is developed, installation for test of atomizers (for creation of a water air stream and dispersed water stream) is created and the laboratory stand is established.. Use area are metallurgy, machine - building, research laboratories. Economic efficiency is an achievement in vitro standard mechanical properties in high - alloyed metal of which pipes are made, at replacement of hardening oils by cooling with the help of sprayer with water air atomizers of the corrected design due to what conformity of properties of metal of pipes to standard API Spec 5 CT and economy of means from replacement of hardening oils by water environments is reached, improves ecology in shop. The importance of work and conclusions - results of work are the basis for working out of a design hardening sprayer and hardening parameters (a water or water air mix) of high - alloyed pipes of an oil assortment which work in the conditions of corrosion excited environments. At training of pipes by an atomizer of the developed design mechanical properties according to standard API Spec 5 CT are received, that gives the chance to advance production on the international market; competitiveness of products raises. Further development of object of research or working out is that the further orientation of works will be directed on working out of parameters of effective ways of finishing thermal processing of pipes with the help of sprayer with water air atomizers with the guaranteed reception of the necessary complex of mechanical and operational properties on the big assortment of metal products, and also can be used in technologies of thermal processing of products of metallurgical and machine-building industries.
