It is shown that in-service degradation of pipeline steels essentially decreases its mechanical properties, especially a resistance to hydrogen microcracking. The parameters sensitive to hydrogen microcracking are chosen. It is important to use the obtained results at a diagnostics of technical state and residual life time calculation of trunk pipelines from the point its safe service.
