New hydrogen absorbing composites on the basis of Mg for their use as hydrogen accumulators have been synthesised. The catalytic affect of titanium-based intermetallic compounds on hydrogen absorption-desorption by magnesium has been found. The introduction of graphite is shown to improve cyclic stability of magnesium-based composites.
