The purpose of work is creation of varieties of alfalfa pasture use. Methods of research: hybridization, selection, field and laboratory research, production testing, statistical analysis. The main results of the research: a new hybrid alfalfa with the use of interspecific hybridization and backcrosses, which combines the best attributes of two species of alfalfa М.sativa i М.falcata - the increased development of forage and satisfactory seed productivity. In terms of the tests in the previous years, this hybrid – “Narechena Пивночи" has revealed high productivity. He was transferred to a state trial. In 2007, he completed tests and included in the Register new varieties (A.S. no.773, 2007.). In 2008, the Patent №07208 to use it in production. Ten rooms, which on the level of seed productivity exceed the zoned brand - standard Yaroslavna by 30-40%.
