Crystallization kinetics is explored of alloys А357 and А390 exposed to electrohydropulse treatment. It is established that after treatment due to decrease of an eutectic point the temperature interval expands and the time interval of alloys crystallization shortens. The structure and properties of alloys А357 and А390 with Fe content from 0.5 to 2% are studied. After treatment, refining of structural components is observed, dispersion of needle intermetallics, partial change of Fe-phase morphology and improvement of a number of mechanical properties. It is shown that the treatment effect preserves at further holding of the melt for no less than 45 min. The plant of model УВ14К is developed for treatment of melt of weight 400 kg equipped with a titanium waveguide, enabling thus to treat the melt with pulse energies to 1.8 kJ at pulse repetition frequency from 1 to 6 Hz with an option of frequency step regulation.
