The purpose of work is to determine the residual life time of car bodies metal structure of series E cars and its modifications and to elongate the service life time of 20 cars. The examination results of technical state of 20 underground car bodies of cars, series E, Еж, Ема, Д with expired service life time or with the life time approaching the specified life time, running strength tests results of prototype wagon, series E, constructed in 1964, analysis and estimation of research results, conclusions and recommendations are presented in the report. According to research results actual residual life time of car bodies metal structure of underground cars, series E was determined, technical solution on possibility of life time elongation of 20 examined cars was made.
