The method for thermal treatment of the precursors has been developed, that enables preparation of nano-sized LiFePO4/C composites with particle size about 20 nm, specific surface area over 60 m2/g, and controlled amount of carbon. The properties of the materials have been characterized using derivatography, thermoprogrammed destruction, porometry, X-ray difractometry, electron microscopy. The LiFePO4/C electrodes preparation technique has been worked-off, electrochemical characteristics of synthesized materials have been obtained in potentiodynamic and galvanostatic regimes and comparing of them with those of the commercial samples produced by S?dchemie (Germany) has been performed. The material synthesized shows ability to discharge with considerably greater currents than the commercial sample, and restores completely its specific capacity after loading the current of 8500 mА/g. This indicates perspectiveness of its use in high capacity electrochemical devices.
