The mathematical model of nucleation and growth of nanoparticles in closed microvolume of oversaturated solution at changing external parameters was developed. Based on its numerical study the origin, growth and Ostwald ripening (coalescence) of nanoparticles in finite volume were analyzed. Both a thermodynamics and kinetics of this process were studied based on the generalized Gibbs approach. The role of the state parameters changing in the evolution of a cluster was analysed and the effects of an exhaustion were taken into account. The transition from independent growth of clusters to competitive growth (ripening) was studied and the time of Ostwald ripening stage beginning was evaluated.
