Subject of research is the heat exchange and hydrodynamics processes inside the helical tube. Purpose of the research is the development and testing of effective heat-exchange surfaces with the reduced materials consumption on the basis of a new enhanced tube with the equalincreased heat transfer surface. Methods of the research are the determination of average convective heat transfer rates and resistance factors based on results of experimental measurements of temperature distribution, heat flow and differential pressure along the tube; the study of the flow in the tube wall by surface visualization using the carbon black and kerosene suspended material; the study of the heat and hydrodynamic processes in the helical tube by CFD-technologies numerical methods. The regularity of the heat exchange and air resistance in the helical tube have been studied, and the impact of main geometrical and operation parameters on the heat transfer intensity in the helical tube with equalincreased surface has been determined for the first time. There have been obtained new generalizing characteristics for the computation of the convection heat transfer and resistance, which take into account the spacing and height of helical peaks within the following range: d/D from 0.6 to 0.833 and t/h from 1.7 to 10. New surface intensifies the heat exchange by 1.45-2.4 times by the resistivity increase by 4-10 times. The surface extension rate is 1.15-1.35 relative to the plain tube surface. The method of the thin-wall tube rolling, which allows making a tube up to 6m long, has been developed for the production of the helical tube. Product Description popup.authors Баранюк О.В.
