Purpose: to investigate the biological activity of Scots pine antimicrobial peptides (AMP) against bacterial pathogens of conifers, as well as elucidate the features of the expression of antimicrobial peptides under biotic stress and reveal inducers of pine immunity. Methods: physiological and biochemical, molecular genetics, microbiology, genetic engineering. In the Scots pine stands of Lopatin's cenopopulation have been detected conifer bacterial diseases such as tumor bacteriosis, bacterial hydrops, bacterial burn and have been isolated pathogens isolated and causative agents of these diseases. Preparations of low molecular weight proteins (lipid-transfer protein, defensins) with antimicrobial activity have been purified from Scots pine seeds and seedlings. For the first time the cDNA of lipid-transfer protein PsLTP1 (Pinus sylvestris lipid transfer protein 1) was cloned and sequenced and the nucleotide sequence deposited in GenBank. It was created genetic engineering construction based on a рЕТ42а vector for expression of lipid transfer protein in a prokaryotic system and was obtained a Escherichia coli (Rozetta-gami) strain - PsLTP1 producer.
