The goal of the study is elaboration of effective methods for the detoxication of halogenaromatic compounds by their catalytic reduction (dehalogenation). Methods of the study are synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, gas-liquid chromatography, X-ray diffraction study. The synthesis of new types of carbenes and carbenoids on the basis of four-membered system of 1,3-substituted 4Н-1,3-diazetes was elaborated, i.e. salts, 2-cyanomethyl derivative of 1,3-diazetidine, carbene dimer. The synthesis of sterically hindered palladium and copper(I) carbene complexes was effected on the basis of 1-substituted 3,4-diaryl-1,2,4-triazol-5-ylidenes, 1,3-dimesityl-5,6-dihydro-4Н-pyrimidin-2-ylidene and 1,3-diaryl-4Н-1,3-diazet-2-ylidene by the interaction of the respective carbenes or carbenoids with metal salts. A trans-trans- structure of bis-[1-tert-butyl-3-phenyl-4-p-bromophenyl-1,2,4-triazol- 5-yliden]palladium iodide was established by X-ray diffraction study. The catalytic action of carbene complexes of palladium and nickel was studied in the reaction of dehalogenation of p-dichlorobenzene. It was shown that sterically hindered carbene complexes of transition metals show larger conversion of organic chlorine than sterically open analogues. The areas of possible use are catalysis of dehalogenation reaction of halogenarenes and synthesis of transition metal carbene complexes.
