The purpose of the work are developing of the technological schemes of landfill gas collection and utilization and designing of the typical landfill gas collection and utilization system at one of the municipal solid waste landfill of Ukraine. The main results of the work are: (a) Technological schemes of landfill gas collection and utilization are analyzed and developed; (b) Calculation model of the landfill gas collection by the single well or group of wells is developed and updated; (c) Landfill gas collection and utilization system is developed and designed according to the physical conditions of one of the municipal solid waste landfill of Ukraine; (d) Methodology of hydraulic calculation of landfill gas pipelines is presented and complemented; (e) Optimal velocities of landfill gas flow and characteristic of pipelines are determined; (f) Hydraulic calculation of pipelines and main components of designed landfill gas collection system are performed; (g) Methodology and test unit for experimental investigation of landfill gas collection system during operation are developed; (h) Experimental investigation and results of the operation conditions and the main indicators of the limited landfill gas collection systems during operation are accomplished and obtained.
