The methods of research: theoretical analysis by finite element method, experimental investigations on equipment for hot pressing with heating by electrical current. Theoretical and practical results: a theory of acting mechanisms and recommendations on improvement of technology of hot pressing of powder materials with heating by a pulsed electric current. Novelty: new knowledge concerning mechanisms which influence deformation of nanocrystalline powder materials at heating by a pulsed electric current. Efficiency of implementation: obtained knowledge makes possible an optimization of a process of hot pressing of powder materials by retaining both initial nanocrystalline structure and unique properties.
