Thermal treatment of specimens of hot-worked tubes of the most wide-spread corrosion-resistant ferrito-austenitic steel 02X22H5AM3 has been done and a complex study of their quality has been done.Scientifically substantiated industrial technology of thermal treatment of tubes from ferrito-austenitic steel has been chosen to ensure homogenization of chemical composition, optimization of steel microstructure and a significant improvement of the tube resstance to pitting corrosion ( corrosion rate was reduced more then 100 times and the limit temperature of pitting resistance was increased to 45 centrigrades and to corrosion cracking( 15% increase in limit stress and more then 200 hours cracking time)during testing in agressive chloride containing media at higner temperatures according to standards ASTNG-48 and ASTMG-36 correspondingly.Recommendations concerning adoption and wide application of the developed technology at CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE JSC and other Ukrainian tube producing companies for improvement of in-service tube reliability have been given.
