The synthesis methods of polymethine dyes of different types of chemical structure and ionic character was developed; the dyes aggregation in media of different polarity was studied; dependence between nanostructures formation and ability by aggregation of dyes was investigated; combined quantum chemical calculations (semi-empirical and non-empirical methods) and spectral (NMR, IR, electronic absorption and luminescence spectra, X-ray structure analysis, atom-force spectroscopy, nonlinear optical measurements) analysis of the electronic and steric structure of monomers and aggregates of dyes was performed; paths of conversion of light energy in aggregates and nanostructures of polymethine dyes was researched; criteria of creation of nanocompositions based on polymethine dyes with given spectral, luminescent was formulated.
