The microstructure and phase composition of multicomponent alloys based on titanium were investigated. The effect of alloying elements on the morphology of the phases and on phase transitions in the system were determined. The heat treatment of samples were carried out. Mechanical testings were done to estimate such properties as hardness, microhardness, strength, modulus of elasticity. Mechanical tests showed that the ultimate strength and hardness of experimental alloys exceed these parameters, and the modulus of elasticity is close to existing titanium alloys, which are currently used in prosthetics. Comparative tests of biochemical properties show that the titanium cermet alloys, whose composition is designed within this research, have better biocompatibility than other titanium alloys.
