We have observed some common tendency regarding the changes of studied microRNAs upon postinfarction heart remodeling - three of four microRNAs have been expressed significantly lower. The use of small interfering RNAs, specifically silencing the expression of gene encoding 5-lipoxygenase, significantly has improved the haemodynamic parameters and changed the expression of genes encoding components of natriuretic peptide system.
