It contained 80-83 % proteins, 17-20 % poly- sachararides and 2-5 % lipids. It turned out, that 200 mkg protein/ml HMF pre-treatment of wheat seeds resulted in decrease of infected seedlings and less disease development. HMF pre-treatment of tomato seeds had also decreased Fusarium wilt development in the plants. At 20 mkg protein/ml protective effect of the inducer was enhanced. Further decrease of HMF concentration was ineffective.
