The aim of the study is the development of new and improvement of the known methods of water analysis using photometric, chromato-mass spectrometric, chemiluminescent , atomic absorption spectrometric, stripping voltammetric methods of analysis, development of test systems for rapid determining of organic and inorganic compounds in field. Studies were also directed at the development of theoretical bases of Analytical Chemistry - the mechanism of occurrence of certain photometric, chemiluminescent, elektrochemical reactions, the chemistry of processes of concentration of trace amounts of natural organic compounds, toxic metal cations, anions, organic compounds have been investigated. The nature of the interferences when new and standard methods of analysis are used to study the chemical composition of the real water samples. Development of new photometric, chemiluminescent, atomic -absorption spectrometric, stripping voltammetric methods for determination of traces of inorganic and organic ecotoxicants , namely, anionic surfactants, cationic polymeric flocculants, mercury, tallium, vanadium, barium, chromium, cadmium, silver, ozone, nitrates, ammonia, phenols, selenium. Procedures were optimized and specificity were studied of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry application for the determination of organochlorine pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) , phenolic compounds in the aquatic system objects - water, sediments and biota . New photometric test -systems for monitoring of surfactants, residual flocculants, trace amounts of Cr (VI), Mo (VI) have been proposed. Five new state standards (DSTU) for water quality control have been developed, they were approved from 01.10.2010 . 15 Patent of Ukraine on the methods of water analysis were developed.
