The purpose - to develop a complex of the organizational and methodical measures aimed at improving the efficacy of the main parts of Trauma Service in providing emergency medical care for the orthopedic and traumatologic patients taking into account the features of an urban industrial region. Research methods - clinical and radiological, laboratory, medical statistics. Results - the features of the trauma service activity conditions in the industrial urbanized regions and their influence on the efficacy of emergency care are revealed; analysis of the main causes of mortality and negative treatment outcomes in the patients with injuries of the musculoskeletal system was performed. Novelty - a complex of recommendations to improve the organizational and methodological principles of the Trauma Service activity in the industrialized urban regions, directed to the improving of the efficacy of emergency medical care for the trauma profile patients, was elaborated; variants of the emergency care protocols for the trauma profile patients with the different localizations of injuries were developed; there were developed four new ways to treat some local injuries that would improve treatment results.
