Research aim - an enhancement of the ships safety and reliability by improvement of the methods for limit and fatigue strength of the ship hull structures determination.Research methods - are based on the traditional ship structure mechanics and seakeeping theories models, the applied mathematics methods, and the numeric computer modeling. A more accurate theoretic model for the wave loads calculations with account of performance conditions is developed. A practical procedure for the limit and fatigue design loads determination is proposed. A conception of the ship performance simulation with account of the weather rooting is formulated. The methods of ship hull structures fatigue evaluation have been analyzed. It is determined to be advisable to solve the practical problems of the strength calculations and design of the structure nodes by an experimental-theoretical method which is focused on a typical cell of the stress concentration/ More accurate calculation formulas of the method are elaborated with the account of welding in the cell.
