Method used, "pump-probe" has been improved in order to get femtosecond "white supercontinuum" radiation with a given spectral composition and duration of pulses. We investigated CdSe nanoparticles grown in aqueous solution and silicon nanoparticles in a quartz matrix. Induced transmission patterns have been observed in experiments of time-resolved spectroscopy by the "pump-probe" method. Decay constants of 3 ps, 19 ps and 49 ps have been obtained from relaxation kinetics of induced transmittance of colloid solution for CdSe nanoparticles. These decay constants are interpreted as times of life of biexciton, localized exciton and exciton, respectively. Thus, a partial composition of the exciton gas in nanoparticles with a strong nonuniform expansion of exciton bands has been determined, and that is one of the important problems nowadays. Studying the kinetics of absorption relaxation in nanocomposites of silicon particles, it is shown that during the excitation and for several picoseconds after the excitation the Auger effect plays a dominant role in a limiting of non-equilibrium carriers and their subsequent recombination in the nanocrystals.
