The approach for estimation of the local defects’ parameters in stratified dielectrics is developed; the approach is based on the usage of the complex reflection coefficient and on taking the antenna’s parameters into account. The effective sphere-conical scatterers of the electromagnetic field are proposed. It is shown that the electro-dynamic analogue of the crack in metal is the electric dipole with the moment that is proportional to the normal component of the probe field. The methodology of increase of phase sensitivity of the eddy current probe by means of displacement of the axis of generating and measuring coils for the increase of resolution of eddy current nondestructive testing is analyzed.
