The goal is analysis of scientific research in the field of landfill gas generation at the biggest landfills and data systematization regarding methodology development for three(multi)component national model for GhG emission calculation from MSW landfills of Ukraine, justification of necessity of transfer into three(multi)component national model for GhG emission calculation from MSW landfills, calculation of methane emissions under national model for the period from 1990 to 2010 and model result comparison with which calculation presented in National Inventory Report of GhG Emissions Sources and Sink in Ukraine 1990-2010. The scientific methods of investigation are statistic analysis and data systematization. The main results of the work are: (a) theoretic and practical researches of landfill gas generation at the biggest landfills are analyzed; (b) available data on landfill gas generation researches at the biggest landfills and data on MSW amount and morphological composition are systematized; (c) methodology and parameters of the three(multi)component national model for GhG emission calculation from MSW landfills of Ukraine are justified and determined; (d) typical calculation tables of the three(multi)component national model for GhG emission calculation from MSW landfills of Ukraine are developed; (e) calculation of GhG emissions under national model and model result comparison with the results which are presented in the National Inventory Report of GhG Sources and Sinks in Ukraine 1990-2010 are made; (f) uncertainty of the national model emission calculation result are evaluated; (g) recommendation concerning national model improvement and state statistic report procedure are developed. The achieved result will be used for the development of the corresponding chapters of the National Inventory Report of GhG Sources and Sinks in Ukraine.
