Hydrological characteristics and areas of research are described. Peculiarities of the hydrological regime of the deep-water part of the Black Sea in the area of monitoring are investigated. Results of determining the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the sea water samples collected during the monitoring are presented. Results of monitoring of hydrogen sulphide in the areas of the Black Sea which are rich in resources are described. Method of calculation of the hydrogen sulphide dissolved in the water concentration based on the results of the measurements made with the help of hydrochemical modules is given. A procedure of hydrogen sulphide monitoring near the bottom is described.
