The following lichenoindicative areas were marked out: heavily (air purity index 0 - 5), moderately (air purity index 5 - 10), poorly (air purity index 10 - 15) contaminated and uncontaminated (air purity index > 15). The undertaken mapping of the isotoxic lichenoindicative areas according to the air purity index rates is supported by the data of the Environmental Safety Department in Donetsk region. The heterogeneous lichenoindicative areas (LA) by degree of contamination of air with lead were singled out - heavily (LA Me 1), poorly contaminated (LA Me 2) and uncontaminated (LA M3). The greatest similarity of the lichen species composition is being observed within the territories of poorly and uncontaminated areas, as the latter being the ecologically clean numbers both toxic tolerant and atmospheric purity indicators. The comparison of LA relative to Jaccard coefficient brings forth the mid-position of exactly those territories, which have the poor contamination of air with pollutants. The types of lichens sensitive to content of the lead in air were determined. In case of decrease of the influence of xenobiotics on the environment an increase of ground, sciophyte, mezoxerophyte forms are being observed.
