Correlations between mechanical properties of heat-resistant steels for heat power and petroleum industries with specific structural parameters were revealed. It was found that ferritic grains with large carbides along their borders were dominated in structure of steel 12H1MF after its long-time service in steam pipe-lines. As a result of exploitation steel hardness near the outer and inner surfaces of tubes are lower than in the central part of its cross-section, whereas in the initial state, it almost does not change the thickness of pipe walls. Degradation of steel 15H1M1F under operating conditions is accompanied by a transformation of the structure in the view of decarburization of tempered bainite, disappear of boundaries between neighboring plates of bainite and carbide allocation along them, increasing the number of ferrite grains and carbides on their borders. It is shown that the steady state creep rate of 2,25Cr-1Mo steel in virgin state and after 6•104 h operating in the oil hydrocracking reactor is higher in hydrogen than in air. After steel degradation this rate increases on-air and in hydrogen. Reduction of mechanical properties after the service was linked with reduction of contents of carbon and carbide-forming elements into the matrix. Increasing the density of carbides along the boundaries of sub-grains only visualizes the process of softening of the matrix.
