Crystalline structure and morphology of films have been researched with using of microindentation, electronic microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, X-ray spectroscopy. Advanced vacuum-arc plant "BULAT-6" have been used for deposition of nanocrystalline superhard coatings TiN, Mo-N, CrN and TiN-MoN. Hardness of coatings have been measured by microindentor "Micron-Gamma". Results of investigation of coating hardness, modulus of elasticity, crystalline structure, the morphology and the phase composition of coatings have been obtained in dependence of deposition conditions.
