Scientific-methodical level of work meets the world in connection with the use of highly advanced techniques: Doppler echocardiography, immunoenzyme methods.The reliable rise of a new vasoactive hormone urotensin-II (U-II) and transforming growth factor-В1 (TGF-В1) in patients with essential hypertension (EH) with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and without DM compared with the control group was established. The reliable correlation of increase levels of TGF-В1 in patients with EH and concomitant DM type 2 and without DM in presence of hypertrophy of left ventricle (HLV) of heart was shown. The interrelation of microalbuminuria with more severe manifestations of diastolic dysfunction, increase of left atrial cavity and increase levels of TGF-В1 in patients with EH and DM type 2 compared with patients with EH and DM type 2 and normoalbuminuria was estabilished. The reliable decrease of level of U-II and TGF-В1 and pronounced antihypertensive effect and nefrotread in patients with EH and type 2 DM during long-term (within 1 year) treatment with olmesartan and lerkanidipine against hypolipidemic and antidiabetic therapy in patients with EH with type 2 DM was estabilished. The additional reduction in serum levels of TGF-В1, contributing to a more pronounced regression of pathological remodeling of heart in these patients addition metformin to a diet with low carbohydrate in patients was estabilished.
