Approximate controllability conditions are obtained for a linear system of partial differential equations that describe conservation laws. The stabilization problem of a flexible beam is investigated for the case of a scalar control with an arbitrary distribution of the pressure. The convergence of positive semi-trajectories to a singular point is proved for a class of dynamical systems in a metric space with a monotone measure on the flow.
