The aim of this work is study of the theoretical and methodological approaches to the development of recommendations for improving the process of pricing based on the systematization of modern knowledge and experience in the food industry, taking into account the peculiarities of their activities. The process of development of market relations in Ukraine has many interrelated issues. Solving these problems will not only ensure the effectiveness of the national economy but its successful integration into the World Trade Organization Significant saturation of markets, intense competition makes the problem of pricing a particularly acute and urgent. Therefore, the paper focuses on the essence of prices as an economic category, the existing pricing models, the optimal pricing taking into account the brand value, information system of the formation of strategic pricing behavior through company, features vintage pricing, and it differs from traditional pricing of goods.
