The physical chemical properties of the modified sorbent agents of the metals' cations from the aqueous solutions are investigated. Via ultraviolet, ultrared, X-ray fluorescence and atomic absorption spectroscopy, the physical chemical properties of new species of the chelating modified sorbent agents, their sorbent ability are studied. The attention is drawn to the choice of the effective complexing substances, the analysis of the adsorbents' capacity and their absorbing speed of the heavy metals cations. The work is directed onto the methods development dealing with the determination the ions of metals in the natural objects after their sorption concentrating on the chemically modified adsorbents of different nature. Within the work the investigations were carried out on the basis of the atomic absorption and sorption-X-ray fluorescence analysis methods for the determination the ions concentration in the solutions and in the adsorbent phase, potentiometric analysis for the control of the pH environment, the electron spectroscopy of the diffusive reflection. The work investigates the adsorption characteristics of the chemically modified silicas adsorbing materials and natural materials: shungite, clinoptiolite, and saponite. The results of the sorption-X-ray fluorescence determination of the toxic metals on the silica gel with the covalently fixed 8-hydroquinoline showed that plumbum and cadmium after their beforehand concentrating can be determined quantitatively via X-ray fluorescence method. In the meantime zink and molybdenum are determined by the obtained method only for 50-60 % and therefore the sorption-X-ray fluorescence analysis can be used only for the qualitative detection of these elements. The modified chelating silicas with the covalently fixed 4 (2 pyridylazo) resorcinol were used for the sorption-X-ray fluorescence determination the trace amounts Pb(ІІ), Cd(II) and Hg(ІІ) in the rivers Lybid and Dnieper with the beforehand concentrating. The results of the sorption-X-ray fluorescence determination the trace amounts Pb(ІІ), Cd(II) and Hg(ІІ) after their beforehand concentrating on the silica gel with the chemically fixed 4 (2 pyridylazo) resorcinol at large correlate with the concentration amounts of these metals, obtained via the atomic sorption analysis after the water boiling-down twenty-fold Product Description popup.authors Камінський О.М.
