Purpose - to develop the theory, computational models and test equipment for: reflection characteristics of the underlying surfaces in aerospace radar surveys, resonance phenomena in the Earth-ionosphere cavity, the statistical characteristics of radiowaves propagation in a turbulent atmosphere above the sea surface, the complex permittivity of biological tissue, soil and other substances in a wide frequency band. Methods - the analytical and numerical methods for simulating radiwaves scattering, radiation and propagation, statistical methods of data processing. Study the properties of the Earth's surface by remote radar data, as well as VLF radio signals excited by discharges of lightning, and their use in studies of the environment are continued. A modified method for measuring the complex permittivity of liquids by coaxial probe based on the use of thin metamaterial substrate is proposed. The applicator for local microwave hyperthermia is designed, and its features are optimized for a uniform temperature distribution over the volume. Model of the multi-channel device for interstitial temperature measurements is designed and manufactured. A technology for the treatment of frostbite by means of local microwave irradiation is developed. The possibility of modifying the biological activity of microorganism by weak electromagnetic fields of millimeter range is demonstrated experimentally. Improved method for calculating the cm and mm radio waves in the line of sight, the half-shadow and in the near-water waveguide with a logarithmic vertical profiles, accounting for random fluctuations of the refractive index and the rough sea surface is proposed. The technique of predicting continuity in radar under rain is developed. Theoretical data on the attenuation and reflectivity coefficients of rain are generalized. For terahertz waves a new distribution of raindrops in size is proposed. Product Description popup.authors Cтадник О.М. Малишенко Ю.В. Ніколаєнко О.П. Сілін О.О. Фатєєв О.С. Шаляпін В.М. Швець О.В.
