Research objective - to give an assessment of the children's population health potential at the territories of Ukraine with various ecological states. Research methods: physiological, anthropometric, sociological; methods of variational statistics, mathematical. Expert assessment of the significance of different risk factors relative to their effect on the children's health potential has been performed. It was revealed that ecological levels (ecological conditions at the places of residence, level of ecological consciousness) and behavioral ones (physical training and sports, use of mobile telephone, fresh air walking, smoking etc.) played a leading role in a decrease of children's health potential. Assessment of the effect of the contaminated environment on the decrease of the children's population health potential has been performed. Constructed mathematical models revealed the authentic spatial-and-temporal dependence of the indices of general morbidity, morbidity of acute respiratory infections and of respiration organs from the zones of observation. The most effective measures directed on the preservation of the children's health potential have been formulated. Research results may be used at the state levels (for the scientific substantiation and provision of the stable development of Ukraine taking into account the regional peculiarities) and at the local ones (at the planning and performance of nature restriction measures).
