Analytical systems for creatinine detection based on the nano-structured MIP membranes provide highly-selective and sensitive creatinine detection (detection limit - 250 uМ), which is comparable to the sensitivity of traditional colorimetric and instrumental analytical methods. Stability of the developed sensor systems based on the nanostructured polymers is significantly higher as compared to the stability of the similar devices based on natural enzymes. The storage stability comprises 12-18 months under storage at room temperature. The structure of the nano-sized creatinine-binding sites in the nanostructured MIP membranes was predicted and optimized using the methods of computational modeling. A possibility of application of the developed sensor systems for creatinine detection in both model and real (dialysis liquid) samples was demonstrated.
