The aim of research - to develop sensor systems determining nitrates in water sources. The method of research - is method of triplex-undulatory photometry. The main results: in model samples nitrate solutions in water tested the ability of the method of ultraviolet spectroscopy to rapid analysis of nitrate in water. The scheme of installation for rapid analysis of nitrate, the main element of which is UV light emitter - deuterium lamp DSS-30 with a full spectrum of radiation, quartz cuvette length 30 mm with parallel windows of 20 mm and photodetector - spectrometer with rapid processing results. Analysis of previous measurements in the 334-335 nm region showed the possibility of rapid measurement of nitrate in water. Introduction to the further registration of shorter wavelengths will improve the separation ability of the optical method of registration due to increased absorption of nitrates.
