Vernadsky University popup.description2 Studying of the distribution of mosquitoes in the Crimea and the determination of the influence of environmental factors on their distribution allows providing further detailed modeling of the density of blood-suckers in natural ecosystems and in areas with intensive recreation. The data on the patterns of distribution of pre-imago phases and females of abundant species of mosquitoes on the landscape climate zones of the Crimean peninsula is found. With the help of GIS technology occurence of mosquitoes is digitized according to the specification of their species composition. Groups of mosquitoes according to terms of breeding, habitats of development, parasitic activity and the choice of food are obtained. The types of mosquitoes that live in mountain area and parasitizing only on the newly arrived population thereby increasing the spread of the Crimea infections are described. Maps of the distribution of pre-imago phase and adult mosquitoes on landscape and recreational areas of the Crimea are obtained. The data on the patterns of distribution of mosquitoes in all phases of the seasonal breeding and timing of activity is obtained. Patterns of pre-imago phase breeding of mosquitoes in different water reservoirs (according to their chemical composition) are found. The data on distribution of patterns of mosquitoes, depending on the influence of biotic and abiotic environmental factors is obtained. Detailed information about the current state of mosquito habitats transformed by human activities as well as adaptations of mosquitoes resulting from plastic adaptation to new environmental conditions is found. Clarification of the species composition of mosquitoes for each landscape climate zone is conducted, the dominant species in the different seasons of the year are identified.
