The purpose of the research is to determine main parameters which determine the process of a volume crystallization of alloys in conditions of pulse power loading and making of technological grounds for the attractive novel technological method of obtaining cast aluminum alloys with a non-dendritic structure. Physico-technological bases of the methods of pulse treatment of solid-and-liquid aluminum alloys that are used in conventional foundry technologies and modern rheo- and thixo foundry allow for obtaining homogeneous fine-disperse compressed structures close to formation of a non-dendritic morphology of grains. It is fixed that passing through the solid-and-liquid alloy of current pulses leads to fining of dendritic structures several times as compared to the untreated alloy; magnetic pressure and deformation rates necessary for formation of a non-dendritic structure are yielded by the magnetopulse treatment of the solid-and-liquid alloy at voltage to 30 kV and capacity of the capacitors not less than 150 µF; guaranteed obtaining of alloys with a non-dendritic morphology of crystals is provided by heating of the alloys with an initial dendritic structure by direct current to the temperatures of a solid-and-fluid state and additional isometric treatment by powerful (from units to tens amperes) current pulses. Basic innovative parameters are determined for electropulse, magnetopulse treatment of the solid-and-liquid alloy and electrocurrent remelting that allow for reduction of time, energy and cost for production of casts having a non-dendritic structure.
