Purpose of the research is to determine efficient modes of obtaining amorphous carbon by the method of high-energy treatment of hydrocarbon liquids on basis of physical and technical processes of synthesis of amorphous carbon with having a different type of a short-range order that can be used as antifriction additives to industrial and engine oils as a result of electrodischarge treatment of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons. Electrodischarge and pyrolytic processes of amorphous carbon nanomaterials (CNM) obtaining that can be used as antifriction additives to lubricants are studied. After electrodischarge treatment of liquid hydrocarbons belonging to different grades of organic compounds, i.e. alkanes, cycloalkanes, arenes, alcohols and kerosene at voltages from 20 to 35kV, capacity of capacitors from 0.01 to 0.25µF, specific energies brought into organic fluid from 0.1 to 5.0МJ/kg, amorphous carbon nanomaterials are obtained. Efficient modes of obtaining graphite-like carbon nanomaterials are determined. At temperature of pyrolysis of hydrocarbon gases formed in the process of electrodischarge treatment of liquid hydrocarbons to 940K carbon nanotubes and nanofibers are obtained. Carbon nanomaterials obtained after electrodischarge treatment and pyrolysis can be used to improve tribological properties of lubricants, coatings and materials.
