The purpose of the research is to define the ways to increase specific power consumption of high-voltage pulse capacitors due to change of electrophysical parametres of film dielectric systems by incorporation in the design of a section of metallized facings. Two ways are determined to increase specific power consumption of high-voltage pulse capacitors by using the metallized facings only in the design of a capacitor section instead of foil facings and use of a "floating" metallized facing the capacitor along with foil facings in the design of a capacitor section. It is shown that use of the metallized facings instead of foil in the designs of high-voltage pulse capacitors allows for increasing their specific power consumption on the average by 40 % and also self-updating of electric strength of a dielectric in case of its local breakdown.
