The purpose of research - development and application of modern molecular genetic methods for identification of carp and sturgeon using DNA technology in breeding and commercial fish farms in Ukraine to monitor the quality and safety of fishery.Novelty - it was designed and tested the system for determining the species and racial origin of aquaculture products (fish, meat, eggs) of sturgeon species with mitochondrial DNA markers. It was revealed the presence in the Azov-Caspian pool of Black Sea of the Russian sturgeon, which was previously detected only in the Caspian Sea.
