The object of research is to identify areas of modernization of 152 mm self-propelled howitzers and self-propelled gun 2S19 2S5. The subject of research is to develop and study operational and tactical requirements for upgrading 152 mm self-propelled howitzers and self-propelled gun 2S19 2S5. The paper used general scientific research methods: analysis, comparison, extrapolation of trends (in the study experience of foreign experts), analogy, the theory of probability (Chapter 1, 2) the following results are obtained: 1. Principles of construction of "net centric combat systems' are investigated; 2. Ways of development of self-propelled artillery, as one of the main factors of fire damage to enemy in netcentric wars, are recognized; 3. The directions of adaptation of 152 mm self-propelled units 2S19, 2S5 that are used as a combat artillery systems in the "netcentric combat systems” are defined; 4. Operational and tactical requirements for military artillery systems based on self-propelled units 2S19 and 2S5 are developed and proved; The results of investigation can be used when drafting military operational requirements and research and development work to modernize 152mm DG 2S19 and 2S5 SP when using them in stock of "netcentric combat systems." Areas of application: for artillery of Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the results obtained at this stage of research, can be used in solving tasks of increasing the efficiency of SH 152 mm 2S19, and SG2S5 will develop proposals for the project of military operational requirements and research and development work to develop new means of control, communications, guidance, defining the settings for the shooting.
