Object of the research work is military-patriotic education of the Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen. Objectives, principles, content, methods, and forms of military-patriotic education of servicemen in military unit have been defined as the subject of the research. Aim of the paper is generalization of methodological approaches to military-patriotic education of servicemen and development of organizational and methodological materials concerning improvement of system of military-patriotic education of servicemen in military unit. Method of theoretical analysis of scientists’ approaches to patriotic education of youth, servicemen, experience of efficient military-patriotic work has been applied in order to achieve the aim of the research. Research has been done on the basis of such research works as “Patriot”, “Patriot-1”, and “Patriot-Effect”. As a result of the research methodologies of military-patriotic education of servicemen have been validated; system of military-patriotic education in military unit has been enhanced through development of subsystems of work with various categories of servicemen and definition of its efficiency criteria and performance indicators; project of organizational and methodological guidelines on improvement of servicemen military-patriotic education system has been developed; methodological recommendations referring organization and conduct of main forms of military-patriotic work with servicemen, and methodological recommendations of perspective social-psychological and informational-communication technologies employment have been presented. Results can be used for further scientific research in the sphere of military-patriotic education of Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen Results of the research can be applied the organizational units dealing with educational and social-psychological work in the Ministry of Defense, General Staff, and Land Forces, scientific institutions and higher military educational establishments.
