It was found that alloying by scandium significantly increases the amount quasicrystalline phase in powders and coatings and reduces the thermal conductivity. First was constructed the strain curves of quasicrystal AlCuFeSc by indentation method in a wide temperature range and determined strength and plasticity characteristics. It is shown that plasticity in quasicrystals at local stress due to phase transformation in the material. Investigated subsurface Composites Al/AMh6 + kvazyikrystal AlCuFe. Creation at the surface composite layer Al/AMh6 + AlCuFe significantly improves the wear resistance surface modified materials.
