There is investigated the phenomenon of social solidarity, showing pointed to the features of the building of civil society in the posttotalitarian countries, discussed problems that block integration of ukrainian society to the modern civilization space, delineated motives and objectives bound up with the rise of civil solidarity. At this historic stage there the mutuality is obvious of two processes: the consolidation of Ukrainian society is one of the mises for European integration of the Ukraine, and European integration is the tool of national consolidation.
