Object of research - the process of underground coal gasification. Purpose - to determine the impact of technological characteristics and operational factors on area ignition of flammable gases, in their preparation, storage and use. The scientific results - the dependence of the effect of temperature, pressure and gas composition on flammability limits of combustible gases. METHODS - design of experiments for the preparation and conduct of experimental studies, statistical methods for processing the results of research and test the adequacy of the obtained models. Determination of the composition and function of ignition of flammable gases on the conditions of underground coal gasification process. As a result of research recommendations for the implementation of underground coal gasification process and ensure its fire and explosion. Research results are applied SU MOE of Ukraine in Lugansk region. Keywords: gasification of coal, the ignition region, flammable gas.
