Methods: To achieve the objectives of the research work it was used the complex of methods of theoretical analysis (theoretical sources, abstraction) and empirical research (observation, comparison,calculation, analysis, synthesis, generalization, etc.). The analysis of the historical aspects of development of artillery ammunition. 3. The analysis of the present position, range and tactical- technical characteristics of ammunition of samples of rocket and artillery armament of artillery units and subunits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 4. The generalization of the experience of development of ammunition of samples of rocket and artillery armament of artillery units and subunits of leading countries. 5. Proved the necessity of improvement and development of artillery ammunition for samples of rocket and artillery armament of artillery units and subunits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 6. Outlined the operatively tactical requirements to prospective artillery ammunition for samples of rocket and artillery armament of artillery units and subunits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 7. Reviewed the possible tactical and technical requirements to prospective artillery ammunition for samples of rocket and artillery armament of artillery units and subunits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 8. Provided suggestions to the tactical and technical tasks of creation of a prospective artillery ammunition for samples of rocket and artillery armament of artillery units and subunits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
