The high-voltage pulse capacitor ИМП-10-5 is located in the cast insulating polypropylene casing. As the working dielectric of the capacitor sections the film dielectric made of combined rough polypropylene and smooth polyethylene terephthalate films impregnated with transformer oil. In the used working dielectric the percent of the nonswelling polyethylene terephthalate film is increased, working intensity of the electric field in the working dielectric is decreased, and the capacitor resource is 10% increased. Rated voltage of the capacitor is 10 kV, rated capacity is 5 µF, self-inductance no more than 500 nH. Capacitor design admit operation in a nonperiodic discharge mode at discharge current amplitude to 5 kA with charge-discharge repetition frequency to 10 Hz.
