The research project applies methods of plasma physics, aeronomy, space dynamics and electrodynamics, the "Differential Absorption" technique, and the Kharkiv V. N. Karazin National University MF radar that is included in the State Register of Scientific Research Instruments that constitute a National Acquisition Research results include techniques for modeling disturbances in the electrically active mesosphere, data on disturbances in mesosphere electrodynamic parameters, particularly the first data in the world on global diurnal variations of large mesospheric electric fields, and models for the temporal and spatial structure of disturbances in the electrically active mesosphere.
