Aim: detection of rational use of natural processes solutions of biofiltration through biologically active carbon and study the properties of biofilm that forms on it, identifying opportunities for effective removal of water microscopic fungi. Methods: adsorption; biofiltration; microbiological and biochemical research. Main results: a mathematical model of biofiltration of aromatic compound solutions through biological active carbon (BAC) is developed. The influence of organic loading, conditions of oxygen regime and regime of filtration on the efficiency of water purification from synthetic organic compounds are studied. The parameters of biofilm washing from the BAC are obtained. Biochemical studies of biofilm properties are performed. The efficiency of electrocoagulation and contact coagulation for advanced removal of water micromycetes is shown. Application: tap water treatment, purification of wastewater.
